Here are some images from recent walks in the local wood taken with an Olympus E-1 while out walking the dog; there is a definite autumn feel to the wood:

    Thanks for looking

    Re: Woodland Walks

Not bad for a camera launched 9 years ago. Do you use RAW? The remarkable thing about RAW is that the improvement in RAW image processing over the years can markedly improve the quality of images taken with old cameras like the E-1. It's rather like a fine vintage wine improving with age

      Re: Woodland Walks

I shoot RAW and JPEG and just to confuse the issue the images above are a mixture of OOC JPEGs and processed RAW files. I use Lightroom 4.1 and usually find it very useful for RAW processing and managing processed files, unfortunately my PC is reaching the end of its time and randomly freezes - very frustrating as this was the 3rd incarnation of this thread and it took 3 attempts to upload the images!!

Very nice set, I especially like the #1 Rosehips I assume.

Very nice images. I also enjoy discovering and photographing varieties of fungi on my hikes.

Thanks for the comments guys. It does seem like a pretty good year for fungi around here, but there have been some heavy showers today and more forecast so I don't know how they will be looking by the weekend.
