  • Moving House

I live on a Retirement Park and all the homes here are of the Park Home type. For those that have never seen this type of home let me assure you they are just as good as brick-built bungalows. Very easy to maintain and ideal for the likes of me in their late years. This past few months the Park has been under development and the first of the new homes have started to arrive. Here are some pictures to show how this is all done. All homes are factory built and fitted with wheels. Very similar to a very large caravan. These pictures show one being transported to its plot. They come in two halves and are bolted together on site. Once in position and all services connected a brick wall is built around the base to finish them off.
This picture will take you to the gallery where you can view all the pictures in sequence.

Great set of pics and a bit of an education as well.

What's the lifespan of one of these homes?

I'm well pleased and a lot happier living here in Suffolk than when I lived in Essex.
