I do that walk quite often, although I don't always go as far as Woolwich unless I have time on my hands (in which case I do a full walk that includes Crayford Ness as well).
Your photos are far better than anything I've ever managed to take.

I mainly do it because I've been trying to lose weight for the last 20 months and it's the only sensible walk around here. I started just by doing very short walks but now I'm reasonably comfortable with 13 miles (if it's not too hot). The extra bit to the Woolwich Ferry and back is when I'm pushing myself.
