  • Poplar Hawk.

    I was very excited to find this in my garden as I was cutting the grass.







    Not seen a Poplar Hawk moth since I was a kid,many years ago.
    Being left handed my brain sometimes works sdrawkcab

      It looks quite an ugly looking thing, but great pictures. The camouflage seems to blend in with the wood, as Pops said seeing your fingers helps judge the size as in the first pic it looks huge

        Unfortunately, our 10 month old kittens like to bring moths in from the garden - and one of them was quite large but pretty battered so difficult to identify.

        This one is a bit of a monster but very impressive!
