    Fish-eye lens view.

Start of the final of the 200mm T42 sprint

Richard Whitehead left it late but went from 5th to 1st in the last 80m and set a new world record!

    The womens' club throwing event.

We witnessed loads of world records

Later the sun was getting low and the mounted police looked very relaxed.

Fun with face painting in the Olympic park

Another dusk view of the stadium.

    More to come!

I was there Friday, bit chilly at the end of the day but a good evening, possibly I was getting tired. I'd spent the morning working a full shift at Victoria trying to help people use ticket machines... Oh how I wish everyone had those little pink paper tickets again!

Liking the fisheye shot Ian and Malc those heat shimmer shots are nice, I like the use of what was there

Here is anothe batch from last Saturday in he Olympic Park at the Paralympics from me:

Run? For some that was a 'no thank you!'

This is David Anthony of Team Paralympics GB's Mixed Wheelchair Rugby team signing autographs in the Olympic Park.

              Self-portrait!

              Fish-eye band.

At the end of the morning session in the main stadium we snuck upstairs to have a look after most people had left and I managed to take a few pictures before being asked to leave...

              Still more to come!

Re: Paralympics 2012 - post your shots here!

I'm slowly going through my shots from Saturday and here is the next batch:

These next few were all taken using an Olympus OM-D E-M5 with a Zuiko Digital 8mm f/3.5 fish eye lens.

This family was in the swing of things and more than happy to be photographed

Lara, Elizabeth and Julia pose under one of the immense fabric 'wrap' sections that make such a great contribution to the stadium's appearance.

Back to the m.Zuiko 75-300 on the E-M5 inside the stadium. This was hand held at 300mm (600mm in full frame terms) at just 1/160th, breaking all the rules of recommended shutter speed versus focal length!

Houssein Omar Hassan from Djibouti, a country making its Paralympics debut, still had two and a half laps left to run when his main competitors had finished the 1500m T46 heat. What we didn't know was that he injured his right foot at the start of the race but his determination was to finish the race. The crowd soon empathised and started to cheer him on, eventually most of the 80,000 audience were on their feet and he crossed the line, nearly 8 minutes after the rest, to a roar that must have been heard miles away. It was an incredibly emotional experience.

A cameraman in the aisle was making this young lad optimistic that he would soon be on the big screen...

This lady may seem to be looking at the camera but in fact she is watching herself on one of the big screens during her 5 seconds of fame in the Olympic stadium

And there are still more to come!
