  • Spider and the grasshopper

Spotted this grasshopper trapped in a web

    Spider playing the waiting game

It was a persistent grasshopper and tried its best to get free

Stalemate the spider walks away presumably decided it was a bit big to tackle

Sorry I don`t know if it escaped or not

It would be a surprise if it did escape. A bit like a human being caught up in a trawler net.
Most likely taken up by a passing bird if it was visible from above.

Aah poor 'Hopsie' is doomed. Great series of pics though.

A grasshopper found it's way into our bedroom a few days ago. Dunno how it managed that as the bedroom is upstairs! And no, I didn't take any pics - I just yelled for David to come and get it and put it outside.

Sadly the doom and gloom continues, I went out into the garden this afternoon looking for beasties to photograph and came upon a minute little thing

After a couple of pics it took off straight into a spiders web. The outcome was inevitable

I felt so guilty not sure if it was avoiding the camera or not or whether it would have happened anyway.
          That`s nature I suppose.

Great images - a bit of a horror story for me as I'm not keen on spider beasties...
