Here's anothe Nokia 808 PureView shot taken in 8MP mode. This is a real challenge combining shadows and harsh highlights. The extreme highlights have lost detail but the shadows have held up very well:
And below is a 100% 1:1 pixel crop:
That is impressively sharp considering it's 1/100th and I was half kneeling on the grass with the phone held out and tilted up so that I could get a near ground-level shot of the church frontage. The OLED screen has a very good viewing angle range and although the screen was virtually edge-on it was still able to help me frame the scene.
