The water in that river looks incredible, Yoshi - fantastic!

Are those Hydrangea flowers in the other pictures? Are they native to Japan?

That's a fabulous selection of pictures!

I especially like the first one because of the scale, lighting, colours and contrasts. It's a beautiful scene, awe-inspiring!

I also like the third picture very much with the flower sharp and clear against that misty background.

        Hi, Ian
        thanks for your comments.
well about the hydrangea, it is quite common everywhere in Japan. I looked into Wiki to learn more.^^
As you might have thought, many of them in Japan are western hydrangea, but according to wiki, the western hydrangea was breed-improved from the Japanese one.
Actually it is a common flower in Asia as a whole and North/Central/South America with lots of variations. Wiki says, hydrangea was transplanted from Japan to China and later in the 18th century it was brought into Europe. In Europe selective breeding was performed to create new ball types, then they were imported back to Japan.

My second photo shows one of the original types before the improvement of the breed, while the 3rd and 4th photos seem to be the western type.

I wonder what your wiki says. - I'm lazy to read it.

          Hi, Pol
You are always good at motivating other people to take more pictures.
I feel now obliged to make a photo taking plan for the next month.

          thanks again,
