  • Trying Out The New 45mm F1.8 Lens

Just arrived this afternoon, so I had to try it out didn't I.

I must admit I am amazed at the sharpness and quality this lens produces wide open, I can see us spending a lot of time together.

    Pen E-PL3 and 45mm

    F1.8, 1/3200sec, ISO 200

    F1.8, 1/100sec ISO 800

    F3.5, 1/500sec ISO 200

Now all I need is a pretty girl to photograph with it.
    Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.

Oh wow, they are all seriously superb! Wonderful bokeh, beautiful colours, great details in all the shots!

It's also a nice bonus to see Dexter and Gabe. You already have a pretty girl - her name's Bella.

That certainly seems to be a fantastic lens so enjoy it.

I especially like the isolated pin sharp eyes in your composition of the white dog - nicely done, Paul.

How do you rate the lens compared to the ZD 50mm f/2 Macro?

Thank you Ian, I think it is easily on par a with it if not better, now if only it had a macro mode.
