  • Touring northern Hungary (Part1)

    (Originally posted on FourThirds-User.com)

I spent last week in Hungary, in and around Budapest and here are some of the several hundred shots I took. The camera body used in these was an Olympus OM-D E-M5, although some other shots were also taken with an GX1 - not yet got to those yet! There are more in my FTU gallery if you are interested.

Old man with hat at Great Central Market Hall, Budapest.

    Slanting windows and chairs, Győr.

Győr Basilica from the Győr Bishop's Castle tower.

    Dog in pottery shop, Győr.

More to come over the next few days.

Oh wow, you've excelled yourself with these. First one, third and the fifth are especially appealing - the man, the seats and the window, and the 'hugga-dugga-doggy' at the pottery shop.

The chairs and windows shot is mind bending made moreso by the small window and the chairs being in perfect perspective.
They all have something special to offer but the age of the guy in the first is a bit of a worry if he is still an active soldier

The 12-35 Panasonic X is clearly a very good lens. Whether it's outstanding like the Zuiko Digital 14-35 f/2.0, I'm not yet convinced. But is a very nice lens to use and its size is perfect for Micro Four Thirds bodies. Just remember the difference in size between the two:

The Panasinic is on the left, of course

Like Pops, I'm drawn back again and again to the chair and windows shot. Lovely rich colours, and I also really like the Basilica with the surrounding roofs.
