Re: Smile please!
That lady is 'smiling' at you in that first picci. It's just that it isn't an overt 'smile'. She's kinda laughing inwardly at you. She's doing a good job of holding her laughter in too 'cos she's prolly too polite to burst out giggling in yer face.
I know about these things because I always, ALWAYS burst out laughing if I spot anyone pointing a camera at me. I just canna manage to control it like wot she's doing.
I love the second picci, very cheerful and happy.
I also like the last one and am glad to see someone 'snapped back' at you. You should've asked him to send you a print or post it here in DPN.

Re: Smile please!
These make a great mini series with the theme you have chosen, each showing a different interpretation of the theme. The first lady is definitely suppressing a smile and I suspect the young boy meant to have his hand turned the other way! The chef may have been taking your picture, or he might just have been accepting a takeaway order!

Re: Smile please!
Naah I reckon he's definitely taking Ian's picci and his colleague, the lady from the other window, has nipped inside for a laugh. You can see her behind the window and she laughing, as is the other chef.Originally posted by John Perriment View Post... Lots of us lasses collapse laughing when there's somebody pointing a camera in our direction.

Aye well - she'd be trying not to laugh at you as you were peeping over his shoulder when he didn't know you were there.Originally posted by Ian View PostBy the way, that's not me taking the shot in the picture in the first one - I'm behind the camera that took the shote

So what's that chef and his colleague laughing at, eh?
Were you wearing your bright pink, yellow, red and green striped Bermuda shorts and Union Jack hat that day?
