  • Helping me in the garden

I was digging and weeding in my garden a couple of days ago and I had this little friend helping me by eating any little grubs I dug up.

Re: Helping me in the garden

There is a theory that robins evolved to regard humans as an opportunity to boost their foraging effectiveness, which is why they are so interested in us when working in the garden and digging up worms and the like!

Some advice for posting to the gallery - 800 pixels on the long side is large enough for web-viewing

I love robins & find them exceptionally eager to approach humans.

Americans have their own (unrelated) robin species are there robins in Australia or South Africa?
