  • alternative use for a 70-200 2.8L

was at the barbarians training session at penarth rugby club this morning, ahead of their game against wales on saturday. no pen, no paper, but i did have the white lens.....

the above is shane williams' signature. saturday is to be his last pro game. shane remarked "this is a first"

and this is john smit's. captain of the springboks (south africa) & the barbars that will face wales.

funny thing was, whilst john & shane were still being mobbed for signatures / photos most of the other barbars were already back on the team bus

I think that has to be a first, Dave!

Down to the signwriters for some clear screening methinks.

      Congratulations Dave.

That should add value to the lens

is that what's needed? i was just going to apply some clear laquer over the top. i still need to use the lens, so chose the part that my hands don't usually touch. ok, it helped that that was the only 'clear' part of the lens body

I'm not really sure, I have seen the local guy doing something similar.

A call to an art shop or signwriter might find a solution.

Just get a skilled engraver to go over it!
