They're all beautiful - a perfect way to spend the day. I dare bet the dogs were enjoying it too.

What flower is that in the first one? Is it a Water Hyacinth of some sort?

Thank you Pol, and indeed they were enjoying it to and play fighting most of the afternoon, which I also caught on camera.

Yes I believe it is a water hyacinth, I replaced the water lily with it as it is not a to prolific grower for a small garden pond.

It's a beautiful Water Hyacinth.

We've never had any success with the Hyacinths, though we do have a large Water Lily that has to be split regularly as it's so huge and so prolific. We give them away to anyone who wants a cutting for their pond or water feature.
