    Re: Working on landscapes

The first two are exquisit for their simplicity, patterns and delicate colours, fantastic pictures.

Something amazing is happening in No 3. It's the contrasting patterns and textures of the ripples, reeds and branches, plus the contrast between warm-toned reflections and cool-toned shade which creates tension and drama. This landscape is very much alive and your interpretation of it is masterful.

The composition of No 4 is wonderful, somehow making order out of chaos and it is a feast of colour. At first I thought it might be just a touch too saturated but after looking at it for a while I've realized that's the whole point.

No 5 is also well seen and it takes real skill to distill this sort of composition fom the random possibilities created by nature. Those colours just sing to me!

No 6 is a classical composition of a beautiful view, don't we all want to be there! I guess a polarizing filiter was used but it does seem to have added a blue cast to the edges of the clouds which I'm not too keen on.

Overall this is a fantastic set, the sort of standard I aspire to. Thanks very much for showing them Horacio.

      Re: Working on landscapes

It must be fantastic to have the artistic bent to comment or be critical of art like John Perriment.

I agree also re #1 + 2. The second image I like as in my imagination I see fairies dancing amongst the reeds.
The last one is striking - the sort of composition I am striving for.

Very nice series Horacio - my compliments.

        Re: Working on landscapes

No 1 resembles a simple piece of abstract art which I find beautiful to view.
I also like the two which feature strong foilage colours.
