We were busy most of yesterday, so it was a welcome relief to take an eveing stroll along the canal again.
We saw one of the kingfishers but he was too busy to stop and have his pic taken.
Whilst chatting to some dog walkers Anne spotted a mink and we were fortunate enough to grab a pic - the stealth it displayed didn't pay off this time as the chosen victim/s were geese, the mink turned quickly and ran as the alarm was raised.

A heron was closeby and had a busy time fishing for its supper. It caught at least five small fish until some anglers disturbed it.
The strike

The catch

Lining up another

Success

Would it look better sideways on?

All taken with the E-5 + 50-200 coupled with the 1.4 converter - A. mode - various f and iso settings as we were in shade etc
