...from the week.
With all the dry hot weather it feels like my neck has been bitten by all the recently hatched midges - the famous Avon Skin So Soft hasn't been as effective as last year.
I have now purchased something a little stronger, which I hope helps.
Today we went to our butterfly meadow in the hopes of seeing a small variety of early butterflies. We only spotted two, here is one of them.
Peacock possibly over wintered from last year. This was the first of two we saw today.

...and the second we took at another location hoping to see a fox or two. This one was sunbathing on a little used roadway. Almost full frame.

Kingfishers, male and female. Imagine the frustration of seeing Kingfishers together and not being able to get further along the towpath to take them at a better angle and free of encumbrance, as I think the code is they mustn't be disturbed.

Pheasant - male in the tall grass.

Small Perch

All taken using the Olympus E-5 coupled with the 50-200 lens and 1.4 converter - A. Mode - f8ish - etc - all hand held. Also posted on www.fourthirds-user.com
