Anne and I enjoy taking this cat - she lives on a canal boat and seems very happy, especially when sitting for her picture.



Taken with Olympus E-5 in A.Mode - f.8 - iso125 with a long lens which seems to have worked out quite well.

I recognize that cat, having seen it in previous posts from you and Anne, but you've really nailed this shot. Everything about it is perfect (or should that be "purrfect") - the composition, the light, the exposure, the focus, the background, the pose, the expression, it's superb. In fact, it's one of the best cat portraits I've seen for a very long time. Look out for a competition for pet pictures, I'm sure this would stand a great chance.

That really is a super animal portrait. In addition to the IQ & composition you have captured the very essence of the cat, in the look it's giving you.

I'd bet good money, that it can stare you out, then will turn it's head away in that slow, disdainful way that cats have purrfected...
