Re: My Favorite Critter
Well done and congratulations, Graham.
It's a beautiful picture, gorgeous little animal in a sweet pose, focal point spot on and a lovely background with blended soft colours and good bokeh.
A well deserved win for you.

Re: My Favorite Critter
Thank you all for the comments.
What I find most remarkable is that this was taken as a grab shot with the 50-200, held against the 10mm square wire mesh. The mesh has virtually dissapeared and is bearly perceptable even on the RAW file.
This lens continues to surprise me with its capabilities...

Re: My Favorite Critter
Congratulations Graham. I thought you had been lying on your tummy somewhere waiting for him to come along.
I hadn't realised that he was in a cage.

Re: My Favorite Critter
I should perhaps explain that this was taken at the British Wildlife Centre, where the enclosures have very good natural environments for the animals, but also include lots of wire tunnels that they move about in at various levels. He was about 6 feet away in one of the long tunnels running the length of the enclosure. People get a much closer view of the creatures and it seems they like the "runs" as they use them quite a bit and they all look very clean, healthy and very very active...Originally posted by Autumn View Post<snip>
