Smoke gets in her Eyes she sits on top of a narrowboat.

    High and Dry

An extract from the 'Friends of Tring Reservoirs' website:

    Latest News

Low water - canal closure and emergency fish rescue
To conserve the scarce water reserves, British Waterways have closed the main line of the canal over the summit, so that water levels can be reduced to minimise leakage - a fish rescue operation took place at the weekend from Friday 20th January.

Low water levels at the Reservoirs

Water levels at Wilstone and the other reservoirs remain very low.

Cottage by the Lock Although the water is low in this stretch of the canal I was pleased the sun made a brief appearance to take this reflection of the cottage.

It's a bit scary to realise that despite some recent heavy rain we're actual experiencing a winter drought.

Incredible to accept that we have a serious water problem at this time of the year

I love that first picci. Nice one, Barrie.

Aye it's dry here too. I think there are drought orders in place in neighbouring areas though we don't have one here as yet. Not as far as I know anyway.

I think water metering will probably be compulsory anytime soon. It's already the case in some parts of Kent.

I like the smoky canal boat mascot and reckon it would look even better in black and white

I'm with Ian on this one. Lovely set - my favourite being the cottage reflection (I'm always a sucker for a good reflection).

Dry here too - drought already declared, water restrictions threatened.
