  • Quick tour of Somerset

Having read we were in for a heat wave produced a whistle stop at Torquay which we didn't see and then motor on to the Quantock Hills area and beyond for three days.

A few more pix to follow as I get time to process them. All taken with Olympus E-5 + 12-60 lens.

    Torquay in the mist

Thatcher Rock also shrouded in the mist

    Dunster Castle + cows

Parish Church of St Etheldreda - West Quantoxhead

Two views of the Bristol Channel taken on high - Quantock Hills

"Torquay in the Mist" is a beautiful picture.

A varied selection with each offering its own points of interest.
The bench in 'Thatchers Rock' looks an ideal spot to sit a while.
While the open gate is a bit careless of someone it does look very inviting.
(unless you opened it for the shot of course)

        A super series Barr1e,
I like all of them... but particularly the Torquay in the mist (full of atmosphere), Parish Church of St Etheldreda (nicely framed and I like the lane 'lead in') and the first of the two views of the Bristol Channel (again the framing inviting you view through to the countryside).
        Thanks for sharing these
