Couldn't help naming this one 'Seed love' for obvious reasons
This was taken before I fitted a guardian to the feeder.

    Thanks for looking

    Re: Seed love

Excellent capture of a cheeky looking chappy. I had one visit our bird feeder recently, but since it's of the "pole with bits hanging off it" they can't get up to the business end. He had to skulk around the floor picking up the leftovers, with competition from various blackbirds and pigeons...

      Re: Seed love

Thanks for the kind comments Caz
Yes this one and his friends regularly raid our bird feeding station(s) of which some are better protected than others.
I've now added a guardian to this one which halted any more seed pilfering

        An all to common sight.
A pleasure to watch their antics and admire their agility but oh such a nuisance to have around.
        Lovely detailed image

Thanks Pops, this one was particularly photogenic being in perfect condition with stronger red colouring than our average Grey (at least around here).
Yes they are a bit of a pain but like you I can't help but admire their dexterity, skill and crafty nature when it come to attempting to acquire a bite to eat
