  • Whale Watching in South Africa

Your Cold image Eddie when you were Whale Watching reminded me of mine. I never put them on before, because Stephen's were so good, but seeing that you have been Whale Watching, I thought I'd show you mine - well just 3. I took dozens. The whales were so near I could not get the whole of the body in my viewfinder.

We should have gone to a different area to see dolphins, but the sea became so choppy that we had to return. It was a good trip.

That last one looks spectacular Audrey, it must have been amazing to witness.

That must have been amazing, especially to see them jumping like that. We only saw some water spouts and a few glimpses as the humps (of the humpbacks) poked out of the water. Nothing like this!

The 3rd is a real dramatic shot but .... the first is just crying out to be framed and hung.
The whale and the birds bring life to a fabolous seascape.

Thanks so much. It didn't seem scary. I was so intent on getting my pics I had my eye to the view finder almost all the way. It did become very rough though and when we beached, we shot straight up the sandy beach and everyone had to hold on tight.
