  • Spring Tides At Camaret

    There are some large caves on the beach of Pen Had at Camaret sur Mer that can only be entered with dry feet two or three times per year, at the equinoxes. Great attractions for the tourists with their cameras but the locals gather there to pick an item of sea food off the cave walls which only grows in these sort of places. Called pouce-pieds they resemble small goose barnacles, and apparently they are delicious, and in great demand in Spain for tapas.

    Interesting images Roger, similar to the caves dotted along the Algarve coast near Portimao. Looks like the water is normally around 2 metres deep there.

      You did just enough with the 2nd shot, I like it just fine the way it is and catching the boat in position was a real bonus.
