  • (Kingfisher) Moorhen + 7 in the family

The weather was kind and not so kind today. Pleased with the downpour though, turf was laid in the back garden on Friday.

The sun came out late afternoon, so in the car to the canal a little further than normal which produced these.

    Kingfisher in shadow.

Moorhen with reflection in the evening sunshine.

Cygnets with mother 7 is the most we have seen in one family this year.

Beautiful shot of the kingfisher, I really like the swan shot - definitely playing follow my leader.

        The kingfisher for me.
Its one bird that has alluded me up to now.
This one looks deep in thought.
