It must be the gnat season in full swing - Anne and I have experienced swarms before and were surprised to see so many today in the wind. It must be all the recent warm and sunny weather here in the Chilterns. One of our favourite Herons had just feasted - a swollen neck to show his lunch. Whilst wondering what was flying low over the canal I fluffed getting a sharp shot of a Cormorant, another day hopefully.
Off now to tend the bites.

Catching the light I normally have problems in sunshine taking these. I think for once the light was just right.
