  • 18th Century Interior's

Another national Trust visit yesterday and this time it was to a place called Dunham Massey in Cheshire.
These were all taken with d7000 at iso 3200 with a sigma 10-20mm 3.5 lens handheld. I think most of the time I was at about f4 giving about 100/sec shutter.
I thought Ide stick to one theme with this post 'stairs' facinating things and in these old buildings and houses you get great reflections and contrasting shadows from the low light.

I'm fascinated by the pattern on the ceiling in the first picture, the circular pattern of yellowish small swirls.

Is it a pattern reflected from the shade of the ceiling light hanging beneath it?

Your right there Pol, it caught my eye when taking the shot and wasn't too chuffed it was in the shot, but now I quite like it, yes it is the glass shade of the light.
        Ash.

I like that picci best of the lot because of the pattern. In addition to that there are a two circles of light on the ceiling in the room at the back, the shape of the wall hanging coat of arms crest thingy AND the shape of the shadow from the light to the side of that picci.

Altogether a fascinating picci with so much to look at.
