  • San Giorgio Maggiore at night

    Dear All,

A view of San Giorgio Maggiore at night. Two versions. The first is my favourite. I love the washed out colour effect. That said I am really pleased with the way sepia is working on the night pictures.

Hope you enjoy. Picture taken with a canon 5D mark 2 and a gorilla pod for stability during the 30 second exposure.

    Best regards

    Josh

    Spoilt for choice again.

    I like them both.

I recall reading last week a photographer was about half way through a 24 minute exposure (or thereabouts) when a couple suddenly appeared in the scene. He then wondered in that particular case why he had undertaken such a timing. The 30 seconds your shot took was pretty much spot on.

    Regards. Barr1e

thanks for the comments. 30 seconds allowed me to use the aperture I wanted to at that time but any later I would had to switch to bulb mode and go for longer.

      best regards

The more I look the more I lean towards the first. It has a look of silver about it.

thanks Pops. It is a desaturation effect that I apply in lightroom. It is one of my favs.

          best regards
