  • Churchill's Chartwell

A quick visit on a sunny day (morning) as time was short. So much to see and fit in - a return visit is a must.

Chartwell taken in the large grounds

Pond with seat, where Churchill sat and fed his fish.

Churchill with Clementine -difficult getting the exposure right as the sun was full on the scene.

    Overlooking the lake

    Turkey frothing near the eye.

Geese with their goslings- just about to enter the water. How many can you count?

    E-5 + 12-60 (+70-300) lens - A mode - iso 200 - ev -0.7 - f6.3ish

Very nicely done. I too use a slight under-exposure as I feel the colours come out better for doing so.

I recon on there being about 115% of a gaggle there

      Hi Graham -

      Thank you.

I'm using similar settings from the E-3 on the E-5 and results are pretty similar. I note Anne's E-30 presented some decent images from Chartwell.

Lovely natural saturation of the colours there

I counted 20 goslings - how about you?

          Hi Ian -

Playing catch up as we have been in Kent for two weeks granddaughter sitting.

          I thought there were 21.

          Thanks for the comments.
