Indeed - Julia's aunt has stickers all over her garden-facing windows in an attempt to prevent birdies bouncing off her windows.

Same here. We still have the occasional bird crashing onto the upstairs windows, though not so many since we had the sentinels stuck on.

We have sparrows nesting in the eaves, also a Bluey's nest slightly further along. They all perch on a redundant TV aerial lead that was pinned down the fascias. They eventually caused the lead to come down so David hung outa the window and cut it off with long-handled pruning shears ... but they still like to perch and swing on the short end that's still hanging free.

        Re: Reflection

This post is most distressing and digressing a little reminds me of when we had 2 sparrows fall down our chimney and they ended up at the back of our fire

We could here them chirping away, and I had to dismantle the whole fireplace to get them out, and the rescue was successful, it was a bit scary having them flying around the living room trying to get out but eventually they got that tierd I could pick them up and put them outside

          Thanks Pops -

          A point well made.

I remember hearing a loud bang on a window pane and looking around saw a pigeons imprint on the office window. I must say the impression (dust) it left behind was very pretty. I must add it was a number of years ago.
