BUT! Although I really hate heights, I have done the highest thrill ride in the world, the Big Shot on top of the Stratosphere tower in Las Vegas - 1,149 feet at its tallest point, the ride takes you to just a few feet from that point...Originally posted by Ian View PostHahaha! Helicopters and planes - no problem (I luvvem!) but it took me about half an hour of agonising to go on the Big Shot ride, and I had a lot of egging on from colleagues who were with me at the timeOriginally posted by Mike Parr View PostYou wouldn't find me anywhere near that or in the helicopter for that matter!
I'm so glad I did it but I won't do it again, if that makes sense! We did it at night and when you first go up you lose sight of the platform and all you can see is the lights of Las Vegas - it's like being in free-fall for a few seconds!
I really hate going anywhere near edges of even modest drops and cliff-edges of any description are out unless there are plenty of protective barriers!

True to my word I did NOT go on it I did go on the roller coaster at New York Hotel though. Will get some pictures processed and in gallery when I have time. Superb place incidentally.
