Last year, flying dragon flies became very popular on one of my weekly close up threads, so I had to give it a go.






Now before you think that I have the ability to actually track these in flight, I'll admit there is a bit of technique involved.
Dragonflies have territories that they hunt in. Once you find one hunting you will notice that they stay in that area for quite a while. They also hover for brief instances, sometimes in the same spot over and over. That's when I get my shots. I sat on my bum for a few minutes for each dragon until it paused long enough to shot it. None are crops.
