Seeing the very good photos that jimindenver is showing of insects.

    I thought I would show this Bee-fly.

    I used a Sigma 105mm lens + x1.4 teleconverter.

    Nice one, Garry.

Was it your Kenco TC and if so, can you get auto focusing with it? I got fed up with having to use manual focusing on mine so I ended up giving it to David (aka Gert).

        Hi Pol

Yes! It is the cheap Kenko C-AF 1.4X Teleplus MC4

        Auto focus works very well.

Very nice Garry. I'm glad my shots inspired you to post some of your own.

I will say that you have much different insects on your side of the pond than we do here. I've only seen Bee flies in pictures and the one time I was over there, it snowed.

I look forward to seeing more of your work over the summer.

Thanks. I think yours is a more recent one than ours. Ours is a DG we've had for a few years. I'll look into it.

Pentax announced they were to release a new on back in 2008. I'd really like one of theirs but Pentax has a habit of announcing things then leaving peeps waiting for several years before it appears.

If you have a 35mm, a FL 20 and a EC 20, I will send you a piece of the FRF tube and you can shoot 2-1 all day.

The working distance is the same as the 50mm/ EX25 but you get 2-1 macro instead of 1-1.

Actually the 35mm is practically the only Olympus E-System lens not in hire stock. Nobody has requested one - maybe I should get one in.

The problem with manual extension tubes like the eBay ones is that apertures can't be selected, so I am resigned to using my OM Zuiko 50mm f/1.4.
