  • Three in the nest.

A quick grab shot on the way to the chiropractor. Taken on the Canon G11 - about the only thing I can hold at the moment. Still, the practitioner has got me on my feet and walking once more.

Would be interesting if you are able to follow natural developments

      Hi Pops -

We have been away from base and have not been able to follow the story more fully. We thought she was sitting on three eggs, in fact it was six.
Three days ago four of the eggs hatched. The following day Anne and I noticed she only had three - one obviously didn't make the night.

This morning she travelled from the pond (nest site) to the canal with her cygnets where she undertook a well earned bath and preened herself for some time.

      Ahoy there (quite a crop)

Later today when I have time to process more of the pix, i'll show you the nest site and some ducklings.

As promised - not the greatest shots but they finish the story.

Swans eggs two left - obviously not fertile.

        Just the one

Josh says it all - I love the slightly cocked head attitude of the mother duck as she watches over her little'uns
