I was lucky to have a pair of mistlethrush in the garden for a while. One of them kept adopting some strange positions.

Funny you should say 'some strange positions' birds take up at times. I unfortunately did not get to photographing some thrushes on King Island that were sun baking themselves....lying flat on their backs! I've only ever seen hawks do this many years ago in Kenya. Many birds just lie on their sides with one wing stretched out and a leg. They then swap sides. Funny to watch antics of creatures both big & small.Jocelyn -
