they did. it wasn't pretty. tried imaging the orion nebula. need a driven scope as the exposure times are in the order of seconds.

so, looks like the current scope will be limited to imaging the sun and moon

Intresting experimental works. It's amazing really.
I could now have a look at the first two shots re-uploaded which were missing yesterday and thanks for that.
      Keep on coming.

I happened to find the attached photos at a news site and they reminded me of your photos here.
I think it is interesting that the photo has one more extra "sun spot" which looks like a letter "H". Acutually it is not on the surface of the sun but is the ISS (international space satellite) that was moving across the face of the sun on the 5th. taken by a space enthusiast. He says the ISS just cut across the sun face in only 0.5 sec.

So we should be able to find the space shuttle "discovery" together with two Russian rockets and some others.

I had a go at M42 a few weeks ago with my Lx90 and 40D piggy backed with a Sigma 50 - 500, I got better than I expected so once my plaster is off I plan to have another go. I took about 20 shots between clouds and stacked them. It was OK but I need to get the practice in and get better at it.

I have a Meade DSI CCD but can't seem to get anywhere with that yet, I spend hours getting no where with it.

Lovely shot I have only ever projected via telescope or bins on to card when we last had a solar maximum. Do you use Baader film over the scope?
