  • Brighton Bathing Boxes

I've embarked upon a project of photographing some of Melbourne's many Bathing Boxes! Last night I went to the Brighton Foreshore at sunset & joined a number of other photographers with the same idea! Some of these are Heritage listed! Some sell for anywhere between $125000 & $250000 plus! Having no running water, electricity or sanitation, they are 'glorified sheds' but very attractive!

I wonder how often the owners use those boxes a year...

        Re: Brighton Bathing Boxes

I think they would only be used in summer mainly! So for a few months of the year Yoshi!
Also the land they are built on is Crown land and never belongs to the owner! They pay the council an annual rate to have the bathing box on that land! The price also depends on their location here as well! One sold for over $350000 a couple of years ago but I can't remember the location! For the second pic I used Threshold by selective process for something different!
