I think it was Ash who said that there are some places that you return to again and again - with me, it's a statue in Northampton to commemorate the local man, Francis Crick, who was one of the scientists who discovered DNA. The statue itself attracts a lot of criticism, and is something you either love or hate. As for me, it's various angles and aspects fascinate me, as does the reactions of passersby.

I'm pretty sure that I've posted some more images of this statue before, but I was in Northampton on Saturday afternoon when the sun was just starting to fade, and I liked the golden light it was casting on the statue. This was taken underneath of the statues, shooting straight up:


And finally (for the time being, I'm sure I'll be back) this is the first time I've managed to catch a reflection in the stainless steel. I was standing in the middle of the semi-helix - by this time the sky was very, very blue and the reflection in the steel just didn't seem right.
