I was determined to take a pic today although it was wet and miserable.
When you have an E-5 the rain matters not.
I took my usual route along the canal, heard a woodpecker tapping but couldn't see it - the red kite/or two made three or four appearances but against a sullen sky I got nada - well some good outlines.
As I rounded a bend I caught sight of a heron flying towards me but it was past before I could get ready for the shot.
Stopped and chatted to some dogs being taken for walkies and to a gentleman who was cutting back his willow tree. How am I going to photograph the kingfisher now I asked? He replied I've got lots to clear away today.
The best shot of the day which I am calling Village Lines.
