I decide to profit from a beautiful, sunny, winter afternoon and take a wander around the village surrounds with my dogs. It is not all that scenic but maybe these three pics might interest a few folk.

They aren't really fountains but a little statue, usually of the Virgin Mary, over a spring. Some still have people visiting them to take bottles of water home.

A public wash-basin. They are mostly derelict and abandoned now, but they used to be the centre of village life for the married women.
