St.Albans Abbey Cathedral at night

I was pretty confident that I'd get a good enough picture for my Daily Photos challenge last night as our kids were at St.Albans Abbey Cathedral for the annual school carol service. The outside shot above was a banker, although in the end I used an ultra-wide angle shot taken inside the cathedral.

What really impresses me about the shot here is that this was taken at ISO 3200, hand held, using 1/6th of a second shutter speed. This kind of shot, with this kind of image quality would have been impossible with a film camera - or even a digital camera of any sort just a few years ago, without a tripod.

Impressive result, I doubt I would have even tried at that speed without something to brace the camera against. Did you use any NR?

40 sharpening and 45 luminance smoothing in LR 3.3RC on my laptop. Probably over-did both to be honest.
