  • Seen on my dog walk this morning.

    Its a really cold day (-2C) but, as always, the dog needs a walk. So off we went to walk along the Hermitage stream estuary.
    The tide was out and therefore the mud flats at the estuary were exposed. Only one Redshank was present:-

    A little further up was a lone Little Egret

    Returning to the car at the slipway, I found this Black-headed Gull on a channel marker.

    Back at the car a Robin was waiting for us.

    As always a great set of photos Peter. It's good to see these birds in their natural environment, and not simply isolated as 'specimen' type shots........... Not that there is anything wrong with that
