Reading about this forum section it's about a story so here's mine
As a Geologist by training I often seek out fossils and minerals for sale to look at ( I rarely buy) and on the odd occasion that someone has information there is a more than 50% chance that it's come from Morocco
So it's been on the TO DO list for quite some time.
I expected to see some almost industrial sites and we did indeed see some of those where people are literally re-working mines for crystals for sale now the econoimic (usually metal) aspects are worked out
However whether you're going for the specialised reason I went or whether you're just going for scenery you can be siure that there are whole heaps of opportunities to take pictures
I've added a few to my gallery here including this one which I was rather pleased with
The story here is that this guy is mining dinosaur and fish bones out of soft sandstone (which often collapses) in hellish heat and almost no air movement. There was no room for a tripod so I handheld bracing myself against the wall of the mine and in a veritiable shower of sand raining don on me and my camera. Thank goodness for the ant-dust system and the quality of the Olympus 14-54 which allowed me to not worry and just get on with taking a picture
There is another variant on this shot, and quite a few more over on my gallery on the Olympus e-group
And even more on my website
Hope you enjoy
Regards
Andy
