  • A selection from my E-5

This is quite a large post.

There is nothing scientific about these shots. I went out to take some pix and learn more about the settings which I hope will produce some good images in the future. Exif in the pics.

    Map of Whipsnade Tree Cathedral

    Hornbeam entrance to WTC

    Nave

    Looking toward Duck Pond Enclosure

    ------------------------------------
    Sky @ Bison Hill

    Glider Dunstable

    Lamb @ Gaddesden

    Horse's Head

    and finally
    Holly Berries

The images above have taken at least 50% less pping over my E-3.

To say I am pleased so far with this camera would be an understatement.

    Regards. Barr1e

A good collection of images Barr1e. This camera is turning out to be better than I had anticipated. Using it, you find just how much improvement there has been. I spent little time on PP myself on the latest images.
My problem is the lack of RAW support just now. Although I have taken RAW + jpg, Lightroom is not even seeing the jpg files. It takes a bit of tricky manipulation to extract the jpg and load them into Lightroom.
I have recorded my first movie which I shall post once I find out how.
    Kind regards

        Hi Peter -

Pleasing to read your comments on how you have found the E-5.

I'm looking forward to seeing you movie - presumably you will use YouTube to upload the video and post the link on dpn.com etc?

        Regards. Barr1e

        Ian - thanks.

Thanks for your tip Barr1e. I shall have to create an account and figure out how to post the file.
          Kind regards

You can upload Olympus Motion JPEG movies directly to YouTube without any need to convert formats, but I personally do convert to WMV format as this reduces the file size without affecting quality noticeably, so the upload is faster.

Thanks for your tip Ian. I shall load it later when I have more time. It is not an MGM classic but as a first stab it taught me a few things.

                  Hi Barr1e,
Eventually, spending most of the afternoon, I have a YouTube account and loaded the video. Goodness, 31sec Video took about an hour to upload
You can find the link on the e-group site.
Thanks again for your tip. Uploading it meant I could embed a copy on my site
                  Kind regards
