Cornish Autumn

Whilst out today looking for a picture for the salon competition i came across these two chances, although ok straight from the camera i think a couple of tweaks to enhance the autumn colours were needed.
With my nickname being "Onest Mike" i decided to post here

Hope you enjoy the Cornish Autumn as much as I do when doing my work

There is something wrong with the first one. You say it's in Cornwall... Well, have you photoshopped all the millions of cars and caravans out?!?!?!?

Yipee they've all gone home, the caravan parks are closed, beaches empty, car parks are free again, and more importantly no emmit with ice cream in your photo.............the real Cornwall!!

Emmits? I thought that was a Dorset saying (or am I confusing that with an emmet-hump?) And don't you get them there grockles down for half term?

By the way, I'll join the praise for the first picture, lovely colours!

Ha Ha we call the emmets here i believe a grockle is a tourist in Devon, half term is over...................nothing here Now ...........leave us be hahah
You can always tell a tourist driving, they cant work out how to drive without a streetlights and pavements on either side, so they drive down the middle very slowly

I thought an emmet (as in emmet-ump) was an ant - and I used to live with someone from Devon, so I did pick up a little of the lingo

And tourists are just as bad here - I might live in the East Midlands but my village is 10 miles from the nearest town (and that's only Daventry). My Devon 'friend' was surprised how narrow the lanes were - and by how few street lights there are.

I keep returning to have a look at the first image and hoping I can get out and capture something similar - the colours are out there, but the sun is either too bright or it has got its hat on.

Same here. Either tipping it down, blowing a gale or 'low-slung sun' reflecting back at you from the road as well as shining straight in yer eyes from above. Not to mention the shunts and foreign sat-nav juggers blocking the lanes.

Mike - that first photo is a beauty.
Such a typical Autumn scene. Lovely capture.

Love these, they are almost a watermark of Cornwall. #1 is my favourite. We love to holiday in Cornwall (Mevagissey) being our favourite villiage. The first image reminds me of the 'fun' of driving on Cornish Roads towing a touring caravan.
Both images portray the rich colours of autumn.
