Chatley Heath

I went to Chatley Heath in search of a rare type of 7 spot ladybird but did not find it. My time was not wasted though as there were lots of things of interest. I thought I would share some of the things I found.

Another great set of well photographed and informative photos Peter. I envy you your dedication and patience to get such work.

Personally I have thought from when you first started posting on DPNow that you should consider using the Blog facility on the site to show your work. I feel you have much to offer us and creating a Blog maybe a better way of highlighting your work. I suppose your Smugmug site is much the same so I can understand if you consider it unnecessary.

Firstly, thank you for your comments - I greatly appreciate them.
I have looked at the Blog facility here and shall think about it. I am trying to cut down the work I have to do to give a bit more time for photography.
What I have found is images do need context and the background information provides a more complete package to share. The need to provide this additional information means I have to do a little research and then find a way of presenting the research in an abbreviated form. Another great love if mine.
IMHO, Digital cameras are a great tool which can, and do, assist me to learn to appreciate the wonderful things I see. They also allow me to share these with others.

Nice to hear about the restoration of the semiphore tower which is of course an important part of our naval history.
