This pretty coloured female Wheatear was one of a few that were, very obliging, in letting me photograph her.
They were hopping and feeding among the rocks, at a local nature reserve.

Is that a new camera Garry?
The wheatears you posted last month were caught on a 50D
Cracking shot
A ha! Yes Rab.
I have been looking at them for a while now.
And the 50D is getting old now! Just over twelve months old.
So I thought it was time for a new one
Canon 7D Just got to find out how to use it now!
Thanks for the comments, Broadsword, Stephen, Pol and Rab

Congratulations on such a gorgeous capture Garry. I wish we had birds like that in my area.
Thankyou DennisP
I am fortunate, that i live in an area, that numerous birds use for passage, either on their way here, or in the winter, on their way back to sunnier climes.
Nice to meet you, BTW

A great shot of a very beautiful bird. Well done and thanks for sharing. The colours, detail, sharpness and composition are spot on IMHO.
I see these pass through on migration. I always look for them in Feb/Mar on Southmoor (Langstone Harbour). Always a pleasure to see. I think they are one of our most handsome birds.
An absolutely cracking shot of the bird, however I do find my eye is drawn to the upper top left corner by the brightness! If this was subdued slightly, I feel the shot would be 100%!

To be honest, Jocelyn.
I hadn't noticed that! But now you mention it!
I cant stop looking at it
Good valid point.
