I'm a Geordie lass really - rural Northumberland then coastal Northumberland for my school years.
Moved 'doon heor' to TW in 1981 for my husband's work. We only ever see one hop field now. There's a small one in Northiam where there's also a small, seasonal campsite. Thing is - the field gets flooded too easily. I reckon the Hops are only there for the tourists to look at when they're sitting in the tea-room waiting for a boat trip along the canal.
