I've recently changed jobs. Almost a month in, and I'm thinking frying pan and fire... but I managed to get out of the city (Milton Keynes) and into a small town (Towcester). Towcester town centre is very small, and I work down a very quiet back street although my office overlooks the High Street. Just outside my back door is Bury Mount, the site of an old motte and bailey which the local council have done up with a path to the top (it's very new, so not very impressive yet!) but if you walk round the site you reach the water meadows which I think will look better in the spring or autumn. I walked across the meadows last week and where I took this shot I could look right up the hill to the racecourse.

Most of the time however, I just walk along the stream between the gates to Easton Neston and the Old Mill. I've been waiting for more birds to appear along the stream, but have been sadly disappointed - just a few ducks and moorhens so far.
Not sure what attracts me to this shot - I took one quite similar, but just didn't like it. The water on the other side of the bridge is very muddy at the moment after all the recent rain.
