Anyone know what this is ?

Why obviously it's a Multiple Furry Watsit. It can't be the singular variety because there's more than one!

I'm usually pretty good on flowers, but definitely stumped here.

So - an excellent image of a furry multiple wotsit

I should probably reveal that it is the flower of a vegetable plant. A vegetable rearely, if ever, grown in the UK.

No, aubergine flowers are medium sized and pink/purple, generally.

Flower of the Okra plant (or ladies' fingers). Makes a good photograph.

Yes, they are both members of the mallow family. The dark purpley maroon stigma shows up very well against the pale buttery stamens. One of nature's pleasing contrasts.
